Recently, it was confirmed that ASTRO’s Cha EunWoo will be starring in the K-Drama adaptation of “A Good Day To Be A Dog” in the leading role of Jin SeoWon, the male protagonist, alongside Park GyuYoung, who will play Han HaeNa, the female protagonist. The two actors have previously appeared together in the music video for “You’re The Reason” by URBAN ZAKAPA where they played a romantic couple, giving fans a glimpse of their chemistry together. As such, anticipation and excitement are on an all-time high as viewers wait patiently for “A Good Day To Be A Dog”. “A Good Day To Be A Dog” tells the story of a young girl who is plagued by an unavoidable family curse that turns her into a dog every day at the stroke of midnight. This curse can only be lifted by a second kiss from the same person with whom she had her first kiss. However, this becomes virtually impossible, considering that the boy who was her first kiss is deathly afraid of dogs for an inexplicable reason. She is kind, friendly, funny, and has all the makings of the perfect heroine - or so it seems. She has never had a proper relationship and keeps getting dumped by her boyfriends because of her one condition that they can’t kiss. She has a crush on her fellow teacher Lee BoGum but is scared to make a move, lest he calls her a weirdo for not wanting to kiss. On the other hand, Jin SeOn (Jin SeoWon in the Korean version) is her handsome colleague who has a cold and indifferent aura. He has a strange phobia of dogs but he can’t quite put his finger on the reason why. What is also unexplained is his apparent disdain towards HaNa. He doesn’t seem to want to be next to her, doesn’t listen to what she has to say, is uncomfortable around her, and avoids her on purpose. Naturally, HaNa is convinced that he hates her. One fine day, as everyone was drinking after work, HaNa gets wasted enough to want to impulsively kiss Lee BoGum. However, the man she ends up kissing is Jin SeOn instead. After having had her first kiss, she rushes to get home before midnight, but in a subversion of the Cinderella trope, it is because she will turn into a dog the moment the clock strikes 12. The day after, HaNa is terrified of going to school, especially considering the fact that she quite literally committed sexual assault on the unsuspecting Jin SeOn. However, to her surprise, he was the one who made sure that there were no rumours going around. Now, with her mission of lifting the curse with a second kiss, HaNa tries to get closer to SeOn, but there’s a catch - her second kiss must be as a dog, and SeOn, as we know, is unnerved by the very presence of a dog.
