Fresh off a contract renewal and comeback, DREAMCATCHER entranced thousands during their “Apocalypse: Follow Us” tour stop at the O2 Academy Brixton in London last week.  Performing fan favorites ‘Scream’, ‘BOCA’ and ‘MAISON”, each member showed off why the group is known as one of the leaders of the K-Pop/K-Rock sound. Evolving from a five-member stereotypical girl group MINX, lead vocalist/dancer and visual JiU has led the group over the years and helped develop its unique sound.  She is joined by main dancer SuA, main vocal SiYeon, sub vocalist HanDong, lead vocalist YooHyeon, main rapper DaMi, and the maknae GaHyeon. Despite being the fourth concert within eight days, DREAMCATCHER started the show strong with electric-guitar-heavy songs ‘VISION’, ‘MAISON’ and ‘BEcause’ before slowing it down with ‘Red Sun.’ InSomnia, DREAMCATCHER’s fandom, loved every beat, thrusting the group’s unique lightstick in rhythm.  Each lightstick was synched and controlled by the production company, adding another great touch to the performance. As the lights turned up, the group reflected on their last performance in London.  Not only was the group performing in a much smaller venue in 2019, DREAMCATCHER performed as a six-member group as HanDong had a scheduling conflict. “It was sad [back then] because we had to come here as six last time,” said GaHyeon.  “I’m really happy to be back here as a complete seven!” After a slower-paced performance of the ballad ‘Rainy Day’, DREAMCATCHER launched into ‘Jazz Bar’. Free from standard choreography, each member roamed the stage and offered fan service to both InSomnias and to each other.  They continued this theme, following it up with b-side ‘Poison Love’ before pivoting quickly to high-tempo singles ‘Odd Eye’ and ‘Scream’. Each member was then able to show their charms while performing a snippet of each one of their solo singles.  SuA’s ‘No Dot’ was of note as she asked the crowd which member should perform a sultry version of the song’s sexy choreography.  While YooHyeon embraced the moment, the shyer SiYeon and DaMi were both blushing after their performances. After each solo was done, DREAMCATCHER returned to its rock roots with ‘Break the Wall’, ‘Locked Inside a Door’, and ‘Silent Night’.  As a treat for European InSomnia, the group performed ‘Wind Blows’, which was never performed live outside of promotions.  The group then finished its set with older songs ‘BOCA’ and ‘Starlight’ mixed between other newer b-sides ‘Fairytale’ and ‘Some Love’. Interwoven between each song, DREAMCATCHER expressed thankfulness to the energetic London crowd. “Time is going so fast,” said rapper DaMi. “I think it’s been because we’ve been waiting for so long.”  YooHyeon then quickly added, “Do you all know that we missed you so much?” As an encore, they performed ‘Over the Sky’ and ‘New Days’ before disappearing backstage. Dreamcatcher often shows unlimited energy while performing and this two-hour concert was no different.  They seemed to feed off the emotions of the crowd and were able to connect with each attendee, no matter where they were in the venue. After London, the group traveled to Paris to complete its European tour. Kpopmap received a photo and review ticket from MyMusicTaste, the promoters of Dreamcatcher’s Apocalypse: Follow Us tour.  It did not influence the coverage of this concert.   Girl Crush: DREAMCATCHER’s DaMi, The Charisma-Personified Standout Rapper Who Is Fiercely Angelic KPOP STORIES|Nov 23, 2022 Girl Crush: Here’s How We Found DREAMCATCHER’s GaHyeon In The Dictionary Next To The Term ‘Girl Crush’ KPOP STORIES|Apr 13, 2022 K-Pop Besties: How DREAMCATCHER’s SuA And A.C.E’s Jun Became Friends Over Their Passion For Performing KPOP STORIES|Nov 12, 2022 7 Best DREAMCATCHER Title Tracks Since Debut KPOP STORIES|Nov 10, 2022 Amazing review and shots.
